Dr. Christopher Ronkar has been a rheumatologist at our center since 2003. His special interest is in working with persons who have complications related to bone density, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

• Dr. Ronkar graduated from the University of Nebraska with both his undergraduate and medical degrees.
• He completed his internal medicine training at The University of Iowa and completed his rheumatoid specialty training at the University of Missouri.
• Dr. Ronkar is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Rheumatology Association of Iowa.
Dr. Ronkar is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is also an adjunct faculty member for the Mercy Residency program and Des Moines University.

Dr. Ronkar and his wife have two children and enjoy spending time supporting their son’s interest in guitar and watching their daughter’s soccer matches.
