For more than two decades, Dr. Mark Burdt has dedicated his life to improving the lives of people who need medical care for health problems caused by arthritis and osteoporosis.

• Dr. Burdt grew up in Dubuque, Iowa, and attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology.
• He attended Des Moines University, where he graduated with his medical degree, and completed his internal medicine residency at University of Iowa – Des Moines and the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Des Moines.
• He completed his rheumatology fellowship at the University of Missouri.
• Dr. Burdt is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American college of Rheumatology and the Rheumatology Association of Iowa.
• He is certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
• Dr. Burdt is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is also an adjunct faculty member for the Mercy Residency program and Des Moines University.

Dr. Burdt has a variety of interests to occupy his free time, including volunteering for the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines, woodworking and outdoor sports.
