Dr. Deana Hoganson is right at home as a rheumatologist at the Iowa Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center.  Having grown up in Des Moines, she returned to Iowa in 2011 when she joined the center.

• She earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Drake University and went on to the University of Iowa where she graduated with her medical degree.
• She added her specialty of internal medicine and completed her rheumatology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
• Dr. Hoganson is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  She is a member of the American college of Rheumatology and the Rheumatology Association of Iowa.
• She also is certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
• Dr. Hoganson is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and an adjunct faculty member for the Mercy Residency program.

Away from the center, Dr. Hoganson enjoys time with her family, running, cooking and reading.
